Below is a video made by my friend Trent using Google. Google lets you make Search Ads and he came up with this one. He posted his search ad video on his Facebook wall and said this about it, "I started playing around with it, trying for something light hearted and funny, but I realized that Florence's adventures were the best story I knew."
On YouTube he posted this comment along with the ad....
"I have a good friend, with whom I was going to start a letterpress business. Like most entrepreneurs we were excited and were doing the leg work of finding a press and figuring out how to start a business.
Well. Plans will often go astray, but the strong, they thrive."

I did it, I did it, I did it!
Finally!!!
I registered my business name with the State of Oregon.
"Studio Meringue" is now officially on the books. Trent and I started the planning of this business the beginning of 2007. We had our appointment set with our lawyer and accountant. Then, I was sidetracked by Cancer. But now Studio Meringue is back on track! April 21, 2010.

I'll admit, I'm a little nervous, my heart is pounding a little fast right now. I'm thinking, "Look what happened the last time you tried to start this business!?" :-) Silly thought, I know.....
Trent is on to other things now but is still helping me in many ways. And maybe someday he'll come in as a partner. We'd still love to buy a letterpress to make personalized announcement cards with someday.
In the meantime, I'll use my photography to produce blank cards. Trent is building a Studio Meringue website to feature my creations and I will be continuing to come up with ways to "vendre" (French for sell) my cards and various sundries.
Delightful day to you,
Florence

Easter
January blood test:
White Cells 5000 (4000-11000)
Red Cells 3.64 (3.9 - 5.2)
Neutrophils 2.26 (1.9 - 8.0)
Platelets 139 (130 - 400)
April blood test:
White Cells 5000 (4000-11000)
Red Cells 3.94 (3.9 - 5.2)
Neutrophils 2.62 (1.9 - 8.0)
Platelets 141 (130 - 400)
Wow, I have great numbers this month! Everything is in the normal range, even my iron... Life is good! :-)
We spent Easter at our friend's cabin and it snowed every day we were there. Here are some photos....

Sorry, some of these are though the windshield of the truck. Heading East on Hwy 58, and I'm hoping those are snow clouds!

Whoo-hoo it's snowing!

Now that's what I like!! Of course it's easy for me to say, I'm on the passenger side! Still on Hwy 58...

Turned off the highway onto road to the cabin....

Icicles in the evening, lit by the porchlight.

Putting seed out for the birds.

Oh yes, I was enthralled with the icicles!

How do they grow at an angle??

Chickadees, Juncos, and a Dove.

We went for an Easter morning walk.

Finally getting to shovel some snow! :-) (I know, that amount is laughable to those of you living East) I've been wanting to do this since the disappointment of no snow while visiting Denver last winter....

On our drive home I took this photo of the railroad tunnel we rode through while on the train home from Denver last year.

Outside Halsey, Oregon. Just a few miles from home....
Love to you all,
Flojo
