And we'll be sitting in the 14th row of section 105, the field will be slid into the stadium in front of us and the Ducks will bring the State of Oregon to the #1 game in the Nation!
GO DUCKS!

Amaryllis "Evergreen"

"Neon"
I had an appointment with my Dr. in Portland this month. Things are going well and he said that I'll be on an 'every 6 months' appointment schedule until I'm 5 years out. After my appointment we stopped by the Bone Marrow Transplant floor to say hello. We brought them a Starbucks coffee card for the Holidays...

Merry Christmas Eve today everyone...
I planted two Amaryllis bulbs on November 21st. Today one of them bloomed. The name of it is "Evergreen." I love green colored flowers, the first three photos are of my Amaryllis and below that is a Zinnia I grew this Summer called Green Envy....

"Green Envy" Zinnias

This has to be an anomaly, it's two headed.

This Amaryllis is called "Neon" and it may open up on Christmas Day! If not later today....

These are flowers and a small Christmas tree placed at Casey's memorial park. Many of us are thinking of you Casey!

The 11th arson fire occurred Thursday morning, so Larry is working his "day off" today, along with others at AFD. So that opened some time up for me to write to all of you!
The following are some random photos I've taken in the last 2 months that I'd just like to share.
Most of you probably heard that Aumsville, Oregon had a tornado about a week ago. I took this photo, in the evening, on the day of the tornado. It's looking West, it was a crazy weather day I tell ya.

We had a light dusting of snow in November, so I was trying to take a photo of it falling out in front of our house because you could see it against the sun that was shining! So as Engine 12 drove by I shot a photo of it too. Brian saw me and waved as they flew by!! I was a little embarrassed thinking that they thought I was just taking a photo of the Fire Truck flying by my house... :-)

While in my car downtown one day when it was sunny, I took this photo through my sunroof... Freshly painted historic building, so beautiful against that blue sky.

OK, it's a should I/I shouldn't post type of photo.... but I guess I just want to give you something to laugh at, at my own expense... hahahha I caught sight of my profile one morning while working at the computer! It started off as a "bad hair" day for sure!

I've been eyeballing this metal finial at Emma's Downtown for at least 6 months! I finally decided to bring it home when my brother told me that it would take him 3 days of shop time to make this piece and that just shop time would cost $1500.00! That made the little over $100 price tag a lot more palatable to me... :-)

While waiting around Walgreens the other day.....

When I took this photo yesterday after receiving a new phone book delivered to the house, I thought of the movie "The Jerk" when Steve Martin's character gets so excited when he sees his name in the phonebook! He yells "I'm somebody!!"
My Will is certainly no jerk, and he probably doesn't remember that movie so I didn't reference it when I sent him the photo in an email! I told him how proud of him I am..... (he's a licensed Acupuncturist).

At the Duck games this year I sat next to Jack Crabtree. He was the quarterback of the Ducks back in 1958! They weren't the Ducks then, they were the "Webfoots."
Quoted from Wikipedia: "The 1958 Rose Bowl was a college football bowl game played on January 1, 1958. In the game, the 44th Rose Bowl, the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the Oregon Ducks by a score of 10-7. Jack Crabtree, quarterback of the losing Ducks, was named the Rose Bowl Player of the Game, one of only two players in Rose Bowl history from a losing team who won the award outright."
I thought it was cool that he had a monogrammed blanket. He said he got it in 1958! That's 52 years old! hahhaha

Here's my best buddy Trent, he built and maintains my Studio Meringue website. He came over last week to do some training with me on it. We worked together at Fusion Marketing and Design... Oh, and he (and Audrey) were the ones that started this blog for me back in 2007!!

And lastly, some photos from our weekend in the snow with our friends Frank, Donna and Rob, at their cabin in Crescent Junction.
Larry shoveling a little snow on the front walkway...

Woodpecker peckin' wood

An icy #1 Duck!

This is a snowman that Larry and I sculpted. We couldn't do the traditional rolling of the snow balls for his body, the snow was just like powder. So we built a big tall blob and then patted and carved it until it resembled a snowman. Donna provided an orange rind for his mouth, carrot for his nose and chocolate truffles for eyes and buttons! The buttons were gone the first time we let the dogs out to run around, they sniffed them out and chomped down those yummy icy balls of cocoa! Luckily they didn't get sick!

Snowflakes on Mr. Snowman's hat. I took this thinking I could zoom in on them after downloading the shot and that I'd see intricate snowflakes! But alas, there were just snow blobs instead.... ;-)

OK, well I better get back to life on Christmas Eve!
I love all of you, thank you so much for taking time to read my blog these past few years! Merry Christmas and a very Happy 2011 to all of you. I look forward to living life with all of you in the coming year!!
Love, flojo
